Alright this choosing a World Football Team Of The Week is gaining momentum, this is the 3rd volume and we got another team worthy of the title of World Cup Buzz World Football Team Of The Week. This week's team took down two of the biggest clubs on the planet and scored a lot of goals in the process. Unquestionably, this was the easiest choice for TOW since we started. England's most decorated team displayed their power this week with a couple of 4 goal performances that reminded the entire European continent that The Reds are BEASTS. Last Tuesday, Liverpool disposed of Spanish champions, Real Madrid in easy fashion with a dominating 4-0 win. The result led to a 5-0 aggregate scoreline that moved Liverpool into the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals and embarrassed Spain's most decorated team. Steven Gerrard scored 2 big goals and showed why he is the face of Liverpool and should be England captain.
Then on Saturday, Liverpool capped its most impressive week of the season by thumping Manchester United 4-1 at Old Trafford. The Reds' big win ended Manchester United's 11 game winning streak and 16 game unbeaten streak. Liverpool relied on goals from "El Nino" Fernando Torres and Stevie G to take down The Red Devils who were hurt by the red card ejection of Nemanja Vidic. Regardless, it was an impressive win that re-injected some drama into the race for the English Premiership title.
