I’d add Ronaldo (Brazilian), Ronaldinho, Pato, Del Piero and even Cassano.

I just don’t think Petr Cech is amongst the top 3 goalkeepers in the world anymore. He’s just not the same player he used to be.

    Also, Yossi Benayoun.

all good suggestions and I saw the old article, but I tried to focus on the players that definetley won’t be going (although its unlikely “fat” ronaldo will be going) these are the players that couldn’t even qualify, I made an exception with Argentina because their squad is absurd!

and I still rate Cech very high, hes brilliant and still only 27, still about 10-12 years left in him

I like Benayoun but i’m not sure hes up there with all these players, still a good shout though!

Oh good god, Riquelme…I mean that because of Ray Hudson’s sometimes, wait, scratch that, constant preposterous commentary.

ah yeah, Dzeko is one big one to be missing!

And Riqueleme is a classic Maradonna situation, you’ve got one of the best players in the world but because Riquelme has releaised that Maradonna’s selections are a bit rubbish and spoke out hes been dropped and is disliked by Maradonna

He feels like such wasted talent considering everything he’s been through

Add Zanetti and Cambiasso. Argentina’s players should strike until they get a sane human being doing squad selections

Leaving Zanetti and Cambiasso out is a crime against football (and for any fan watching the game from a neutral perspective). Maradonna obviously selects his peers like Veron and Palermo and I feel sorry that other world class players like Messi need to cope with a mediocre support team. They have an easy group but I think any big team will knock them out especially once these old-timers get tired playing a few games in a row.

Fire Maradonna already, what’s up with these blind guys from the Argentine FA that they can’t see his horrible mistakes?
