On paper, what seems like the easiest group in the 2010 World Cup may end up being much harder than the pundits think. Italy are sometimes slow starters in tournaments. New Zealand will be battling hard with counter-attacking tactics that will make the team hard to break down. Paraguay are no pushovers, and Slovakia could be the surprise team of the group.

The midweek FIFA matches began with a massive clash between the two most successful clubs in World Cup history.  5-time champions Brazil & 4-time and current champions Italy. 

The match was a showcase of skill as the Brazilians defeated the Italians 2-0 in London’s Emirates Stadium.  The play of the match had to be Robinho’s goal in the 27th minute when he samba danced Gianluca Zambrotta and Andrea Pirlo out of their shoes and tucked a well placed shot past Gigi Buffon into the far post side net. 

Brazil v Italy wasn’t the only match on Tuesday so here are the results from the friendly matches on February 10th.

• Hungary v Denmark, Saturday, September 6, 1:30pm ET
• Ukraine v Belarus, Saturday, September 6, 4pm ET (tape delayed)
• Russia v Wales, Wednesday, September 10, 11am ET
• Macedonia v Holland, Wednesday, September 10, 2:30pm ET
• Slovenia v Slovakia, Wednesday, September 10, 5pm ET (tape delayed)
