Out of all of the quarter-finals this weekend, Spain against Paraguay is probably the one that soccer aficionados are considering the easiest match-up of the bunch. The vast majority of people consider that Spain will cruise to victory in this game. But Paraguay is definitely not a team to underestimate.
Before, during and after this World Cup game today, please share your observations and rants in the comment section below whether you’re a supporter of Spain, Paraguay or a neutral.

Spain are trying to be too clever, a little like Argentina this afternoon. They are hanging onto the ball far too long and allowing Paraguay to crowd them out. One direct incisive through ball would do it.
Spain finally found the back of the net. It’s been a good match, but as soon as Spain scored, it looked like Paraguay wouldn’t be able to answer.
An extraordinary game. Riveting stuff!

The Gaffer
Richard complained that Europe was dour and had too many spots in the World Cup. Yet how many South American sides are in the semis (and that one shouldn’t be there). How many Asian or North American sides even won a second round game? And how many European sides lost to non-European competition in the second round. The answers are 1 and 0,0,0
Uh, boobs
