When it comes to leven of talent the Champions Lague is above the World Cup. Both Bayern and Inter would easily beat most of the national teams at whe WC.

I agree. The best European club sides are better than the best national sides – not only because of the wealth of talent to choose from (you could theoretically pick the World’s best player in every position), but also because of the time training together.

Why did you write this much for a response to a comment made by Jose Mourinho? Seems like a waste of effort, he simply uses controversial comments to fuel his attention addiction.

No one craves the media attention more than Jose Mourinho. He easily manipulates the press to serve his objectives and he has a habit of making comments which spark controversy (on purpose).
If you check Poll on here, he’s already got 10% of the votes which is actually decent considering the World Cup is the biggest sports event in the World without any doubt.

Its funny when people talk funnily. In as much as I respect mourinho and think he is the best league coach, I hope he in the future takes the national team challenge to the world cup. champions league is nothing compared to world cup. From the coaching point of view.. a league coach has the choice of getting the best players in the world and having them play a style. A national coach has to choose “the best he can get”. so that makes the difference.. its way easier winning the champions league than the world cup. and there is no need saying inter and bayern can beat any world cup team. thats just stupid because its the same players who go back to each of their countries and have to work harder than they do in their clubs to survive world cup level since they dont have any world class suppliers on their teams. So yeah.. there is no comparison between the too.. they are 2 unique tournaments, and at the end of the day, the harder one, whose victory counts more is the world cup. period.

I am just faszinated what Mouriniho did with Internationale Milan. He made out of a good players a really strong team arrount the axe Lucio, Snyder and Milito. It is just great to see this team play the right way.

If Jose Murinho can coach a Champions league team comprising just the nationals of that particular coutry, without any players from other countries/ nationals, that’s when he should make this comments! Only then CHampions League can be put on ‘More important than World Cup”. Sometimes human beings cannot control themselves when they are on cloud 9!
Remember the coaches for the National teams don’t spend weeks and weeks of continuous training with their players, but still produces world champions!

The 90% of people who said Mourinho is wrong (myself included) would LIKE for him to try coaching a national side one day and I am willing to bet HE WOULD not too far into the future – judging from the ego he seems to have! But question is why hasn’t he tried that yet?!
