World Cup Buzz writer Rob McCluskey recently penned a story about his Top Five National Anthems at the World Cup. Now it’s Umbro’s turn to roll out a national anthem and, not surprisingly, it’s for England.
Watch the above video to see different people from across England singing the British national anthem, “God Save The Queen.” While most of the people featured in the video know the words, don’t expect the English footballers to sing along. The English footballers tend to stay mute much to my dismay.
According to Umbro, “This short film from Umbro celebrates England’s constantly evolving cultural diversity. Young and old, whatever your background, both fans and players come together in unity before a game to sing the national anthem.”

Not bad! I quite like this concept.
That gave me the chills. I can’t wait to give the rest of the footballing world a right f**king kicking. I said I wouldn’t this time but Its too late, I’ve drank the kool-aid.

Gaffer: Most of the English players sing from my recollection. Gary Neville was always dead silent and Rooney usually keeps his mouth shut as well. The rest of them sing with pride. This video shows those two and the Canadian as the only ones not singing before the Portugal match in 06:
