Coca-Cola has launched its commercial for the 2010 World Cup which features Cameroon star Roger Milla.
Entitled “History Of Celebration,” the commercial highlights the dance by Milla from the 1990 World Cup and how he started a trend of World Cup stars coming up with creative dances after they score a goal in the biggest tournament on earth.
Coca-Cola is a bit sneaky in the way they didn’t use stock footage (other than Milla’s goal) and used actors to represent the other goals instead. Still, it’s an exciting advertisement.
As a Cameroonian, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that when you use Roger Milla in your advert, you should use the correct country flag. Cameroon flag is green, red, yellow. NOT green, yellow, red. Please look closely in to this.
Thanks, Lilian
I believe that they were waving a Senegal flag. Not Cameroon’s flag.

It is unfortunate that so far Africa teams apart from Ghana and Ivory coast have let down Africans fans and entire football fraternity. It was unafrican for our teams to have displayed the kind of indiscipline we witnessed yesterday.Fellow Africans even if we are to loose let us loose honourably but I have confidence that all is not lost…and remember that Football is Fun Always(FIFA)

As a Cameroonian, this advert concerns the whole world. I see the Cameroonian flag on someones chest and lots of other flags. I also see Roger Milla (as the initiator of the dances-good thing) and lots of other people. The advert is for the world using a Cameroonian. IT IS OK and interesting especially with the Chinese jumping over the fence. Where did he land?
